Stockings....

Glitter Pens............$2.50
Felt..........................$0.39
Stockings................$1.00
Staying up all hours of the night making hand crafted stockings..................PRICELESS!!!

I decided this year that we needed stockings in our apt! So I went on a search for the cheapest stuff I could find. I "surprised" Farrari and Eric with the great news that we were going to decorate stockings and hang them above our T.V. (it's the closest thing we have to a fireplace...) Initially I don't think they were as excited about it as I was but they humored me and made their stockings. It ended up being a lot of fun. When fofo and I made ours Eric had a TON of homework so he wasn't able to do his then but don't you worry, I got him later!

The final products.....
We are all so proud of our stockings. They turned a lot better than any of us could have hoped since none of us are very crafty. I was especially impressed with Eric's. He thought of his idea on his own and decorated it without complaining. (I think he liked it...) I love him. Farrari wants to use her's from now on as her permanent stocking for Santa to fill with all sorts of goodies.

DeCoRaTiNg!!!

Can I just tell you how much I looovveee Christmas? I love everything about it. I love the music, I love the snow (as long as I am not driving), I love the FOOD, but most of all I love the spirit of Christmas. It seems like when the Christmas season comes everyone is a little happier, kinder, and more giving. It definitely is the most wonderful time of the year.
Well this year for Christmas I decided we needed to decorate our apt. Vana gave Farrari and I her tree but we had no decorations so I went to the cheapest stores I could find (yes, thrift stores and dollar stores). Our tree is a little homely looking.... but we love it. We stayed up one night after Eric and I got off work and decorated it. It was so much fun!

Mom sent us each an ornament to put on the tree and a tree skirt to complete our little tree. They were super cute!! Thanks mom! We love you!!!
Fofo thinks she is soooo funny. I know I know, our children will not be lacking in the booty department.....
We are so proud of our little treeee!

What a Character

When I was home over thanksgiving break my family and I went to Vernal's Holly Days which is always so much fun. This year I helped Vana with her kids. Ian is old enough now that he knows what is going on and wants to be in on everything. He was HILARIOUS!! He was all over the place and wanted to do everything the girls were doing. It was freezing cold but it didn't seem to slow him down to much. We got him some cotton candy before they took off for home and it was quite the entertainment watching him try to eat it. He struggled but it made for a good laugh for the rest of us! He is quite the little character. It is amazing the personality this little guy has. I love him to death he makes me laugh so hard. I hope my boys are something like him.

Wyoming Football

So, Eric is a HUGE football fan (mostly college ball) his favorite team is the Wyoming Cowboys. Something about he played for them so he has to support them I dunno :). Well I decided I would surprise him and get him tickets to the WY vs. BYU game. So on October 23 we went to the game with Shan and Mike (who are BYU fans). It rained the whole game and was SOOOO cold but it was still a ton of fun! Unfortunately WY lost which made for a grouchy Eric...but we still had a lot of fun and now I can hold it over his head and make him take me to something girly! hahaha just jokes...but really...

Mrs....who?!?

Well people it's official...for those of you who haven't heard I'm ENGAGED!!! I guess Eric decided he wanted to put up with me for the rest of forever. I know, I tried to explain to him that forever is a long time but he seems to think he can handle me...we will see....
He popped the question September 19th while we were sitting outside temple square. It was nothing fancy it was such a nice night and the temple and grounds were beautiful, I loved it! My ring is gorgeous and perfect! He picked it out all on his own. We didn't go ring shopping together once! I was thoroughly impressed as you will probably be when you see what a good job he did.
We are very excited. We are thinking March as of now but there are a few wrinkles we are working out before we set a day in stone.
Here is a picture of us after he proposed. It was kind of late and we were both so tired so we look pretty much awesome. I also threw in a couple pictures of the ring. I don't think pictures do it justice but that is just my opinion. I love it!

bad blogger...

Well I am a bad blogger and my last 3 posts are all messed up... so, read them from the bottom up...haha I suck at this. Now you know why I never do this junk.

Flintstone Village & Independence Rock

This was the highlight of our trip to South Dakota...ok well it was for me. It may or may not have been the main reason I wanted to go... Flintstone Village is pretty much just a kiddie park tourist attraction but it was cute and it was way fun for all of us!

On our home we stopped in Wyoming at Independence Rock. I had never been there or actually even heard of it. It was pretty neat to see all the signatures from everyone who crossed the Oregon Trail. All I know is I am glad I live at the time I do, thank goodness for motor vehicles!!

Cabin & Mt. Rushmore

Eric's family rented a cabin in the Black Hills so all 15 of us stayed there Saturday night. It was a little tight but that was the whole fun of it. It was so peaceful and GORGEOUS!

This is a little deserted cabin that was just a few feet from ours. We tried to convince all the little girls to sleep there but they wouldn't haven't. Something about bears...?
Our first stop as tourists was Mt. Rushmore. It's pretty much just a rock with a bunch of faces and TONS of people just stop and take pictures, that's pretty much it. There is also a small museum and a gift shop but that's about the extent of it. Either way it was pretty neat and now i can say that I've been there...

SOUTH DAKOTA!!!

Last weekend Eric's brother got married in South Dakota and he invited me to go with him. It was quite the adventure. The drive was about 78 thousand hours I think. We left around 3 and we were already exhausted we had to stop 2 times to sleep. The first time was for 2 hours and the second one was for 5. Eric said he only need a 1/2 hour nap...see how that went down. We were stopped in Buffalo about 3 hours away from our destination (rapid city). We parked at a car wash and slept. Around 2ish I asked him if we should get on the road and he said just a few more minutes. Well needless to say we didn't get our of there until 6 the next morning. We made it to rapid city around 9, slept for a couple hours and then got ready for the wedding. The wedding was very nice, the reception hall was gorgeous and the drunks were entertaining...what more could you want from a wedding???

The morning after the wedding they had a breakfast for the wedding party. One of the step brother inlaws is a pilot for the black hills life flight and he offered to take us up in his plane. He had room for 6 so it was me, eric, his brother kort, brother inlaws justin and aaron, and his sister shanna. Well they thought it was a good idea to let justin fly the plane....NOT a good idea. We were tipping left and right and they would switch off flying so we'd tip and then steady out then tip then steady out. Well between the fact that we had just ate, the a.c. was horrible, and they let justin fly...I got a little sick as we were decending....Eric turned to me and said are ok? right as he said that I turned and puked! I aimed for the garbage can located between myself and shanna and tried to sheild her with my hand. That didn't work so well....I vomited all over her...it was a little embarrassing to say the least...but I felt better...

Justin in the cockpit. He was loving life!
Shanna pre-vomit explosion...

Update....sorta

Well I am a horrible blogger but I am going to start updating just a bit. So I made it through my first semester at USU I had some good times I LOVE USU. I am sad I won't be able to go back. While I was out there a few family members came to visit!! First Shan and Mike came for the weekend we had tons of fun. Mike's sister lives up there too so we hung out all together most of the time. Our adventure consisted of a 20 min trip to Idaho (mostly just to take pictures at the sign), the local zoo, pepperridge farm, and the fat boy factory (this was my favorite!!).

Farrari also came out for a weekend which was lots of fun. We made rice balls, went shopping and I gave her a tour of campus. Mostly we just messed off and tried to kiss George Washington.
There are these crazy workout areas all over campus...I don't really understand why. I guess they just want there students to be FIT! Farrari found them quite entertaining. She insisted on stopping at each one and doing the little workout. Yes that is snow on the ground...it was pretty cold.
